| How might data be collected for this target response? | Identify an intervention, or set of interventions, based on the PDC-HS data. |

| Collect data on which antecedent interventions are used | Run BST to practice how to use antecedent interventions |

| List out the antecedent and procedures and the steps within the antecedent procedures creating a checklist to be used during observations. | 1. Review the steps of each antecedent procedure with all of the staff members. |
| Meeting outlining intervention, review with all staff. Create checklist or means of prompting staff | BST |
| Self-reporting of a checklist for antecedent interventions. Observations by the supervisor recorded. | Have a meeting with staff to review antecedent interventions and their importance. |
| Collect data on frequency of antecedent interventions. | Provide staff training regarding the importance of antecedent interventions and explain that they prevent challenging behavior from occurring. Define the antecedent interventions specifically and ensure that the staff is able to implement. |
| Checklist with all antecedent interventions listed. | Create a formal schedule for when antecedent interventions are to be offered and alllocate responsibility by staff and time. If this doesn't work then the BA can text the staff the start the antecedent interventions at beginning of shift. |

| Data could be taken on the staff implementing the antecedent modifications. | The BCBA could give a check list or prompt reminders to the staff. |
At least one field must be filled out | |
| Data sheets outlining antecedent responses | Prompts to remind staff of the importance of antecedent responses |
| a b c data collection | show how an antecedent intervention could avoid the problem behaviour |
| indicates the task clarification and prompting domain for intervention. | |
| Create treatment fidelity checklist for all antecedent interventions that should be used | Provide staff training on antecedent interventions |
| direct obs, interviews, progress notes | clarify instruction and availability of prompts, implement visual cues in the environment, |
| Treatment Integrity and IOA in vivo during the session | Provide immediate feedback for incorrect responses, and then model correct responses followed by the behavior technician then performing the behavior with immediate feedback from the supervisor. |
| Training, self-monitoring checklist | Modeling |
| To assess how often and how accurately antecedent strategies are being used, you can collect: a. Implementation Fidelity Checklist Create a checklist that outlines each antecedent strategy expected for each consumer. During observations, mark whether the intervention was implemented (Yes/No), correctly (✓/✗), and at the correct time. For example: Was the visual schedule reviewed before transitions? Was a warning provided before a known stressor? Was the environmental arrangement prepared? b. Prompt Logs or Task Checklists Staff fill out daily task checklists verifying antecedent interventions were completed (initials and time). Can be paired with a supervisor’s spot check for accuracy. c. Direct Observation Notes Supervisors or behavior analysts conduct observations and note: Whether antecedent strategies were used, How consistently they were applied, If deviations were explained or due to lack of clarity. d. Staff Self-Report or Reflection Logs Ask staff to record which antecedent strategies they used that day, what worked well, and what barriers they encountered. | Since this domain is about clarity and reminders, the most effective interventions will make the tasks easier to remember, more visible, and clearly defined. a. Clarify Expectations with Written Protocols Develop clear, consumer-specific antecedent strategy protocols (laminated, brief, and posted). Use visual cues and reminder signs in the staff area (e.g., “Did you provide the 5-minute warning?” or “Check visual schedule before transitions”). Create shift-based implementation checklists that staff must complete (e.g., “antecedent strategies applied?” with yes/no). Use reminder apps or alarms (on phones or tablets) to prompt staff before known high-risk times. Include brief modeling or practice of antecedent strategies during team huddles or before shift change. Have supervisors observe briefly and provide real-time correction or praise. |
