How might data be collected for this target response?Identify several interventions that might help improve response rates. Place them in order with the least-restrictive at the top so that the interventions may be introduced systematically, adding more restrictive / less favorable interventions after the outcomes of less restrictive options have been measured.

The BCBA should utilize performance feedback to indicate areas of program implementation that are lacking and determine why staff are not completing tasks with fidelity.

They should utilize performance feedback and then retraining with rehearsal and immediate feedback.

Competition for data collection

Retrain expectations of data collection, begin a competition amongst staff in which the staff member(s) with the most data collection in one day could win a prize

record and have participants take data on their own behavior

adjust environment to set up time/resources for easy data collection
increase positive reinforcement for data collection
implement consequences for lack of data collection

written checklists

checklists with prompts
modelling
rehearsal

direct observation should be done by the BA

not sure

self monitoring by staff as the level of professionalism of their behavior.

self monitoring
reinforcing professional behavior

direct observation-Is a job aid (e.g., checklist, data sheet, step-by-step instructions, pictures, prompts) for completing the task visibly located (if appropriate) or easily accessible in the task area? (e.g., visibly posted, located with the instructional or data collection materials).

Instructions Yes ☐ No ☐ The employee received step-by-step instructions on how to perform the task. ☐ Vocal instructions ☐ Written instructions ☐ Both vocal and written instructions

1b. Demonstration/Modeling Yes ☐ No ☐ The employee was shown how to perform the task. ☐ Live modeling ☐ Video modeling ☐ Both live and video modeling

Rehearsal/Practice Yes ☐ No ☐ The employee had opportunities to practice the task correctly during training. ☐ Practiced with trainer ☐ Practiced alone ☐ Practiced with coworkers

Feedback Yes ☐ No ☐ The employee received feedback about performance during training. ☐ Vocal feedback ☐ Positive feedback for steps performed correctly ☐ Corrective feedback for steps performed incorrectly ☐ Written feedback ☐ Positive feedback for steps performed correctly ☐ Corrective feedback for steps performed incorrectly

Each time the behavior analyst goes to the group home, they take a baseline of how often staff are following protocol with a Yes or No for each step and getting percentage of steps completed with fidelity.

prompting, process issues, BST, Add consequences- maybe adding a reinforcement system for staff.

Performance checklists and observation

Staff incentives, increase supervisory presence

checklist

reward improving behavior
identify consequence for ongoing issues

Provide checklists of tasks completion.

Provide checklists and have staff engage in self-monitoring.

How often staff are looking at binders or writing information around, observing, in-vivo feedback

observation
verbal feedback
modeling
practice

Number of positive interactions with clients per day. Latency to implementing procedure. Checklist for what should be done at the beginning of day to set up for the rest of the day

Have self-assessment data collection sheets implemented for the target behaviors. Enter scores above a certain percentage point in a raffle for a prize
Take data on staff implementation as a team for the target response measure. Post graphs showing team's data. When data reaches a specific threshold, have a group contingency reinforcer, e.g. pizza party
Collect data individually for the target response measure. Schedule regular meetings to set specific individualized goals and provide feedback on the progress towards goals.

Supervisor observation and self-monitoring

-Review expectations regarding client interactions and data collection
-schedule additional supervision with staff
-set up self-monitoring system regarding certain procedures (including data collection) and regularly share results with staff
-establish motivational systems for staff reaching pre-set goals regarding data collection completion

create a data sheet to document when programs are run

reward staff members for collecting data, post frequency on a graph including all staff members

Hi

Post data collection completion percentages on board.

-Team meeting to go over expectations and importance of collecting data
-Use Self-monitoring with checklist for expected data and staff initialing when completed
-Meet with individual staff member to discuss data collection expectation
-Post on employee board percent of compliance with data completion.
