How might data be collected for this target response?Identify several interventions that might help improve response rates. Place them in order with the least-restrictive at the top so that the interventions may be introduced systematically, adding more restrictive / less favorable interventions after the outcomes of less restrictive options have been measured.
treatment fideltity

self-monitoring

Group monitioring

Make the data sheets easier to obtain

Self reporting

Increased supervisor presence, performance feedback, highlight task outcomes, reduce task efforts reduce adversity task properties

Direct observation or data permanent product recording if data was collected that day or not

Staff self monitoring checklist, visual prompts reminding staff to collect data, graph of data sheets filled out, verbal reminders from supervisors in real time to collect data

To understand whether the system, not the staff, is failing, collect data that reveal when data are (or are not) collected and what competing contingencies are present.

Least Restrictive: Simplify and Reduce Response Effort

Make data sheets easier to find (front of binder, clearly labeled).

Pre-fill dates/times to reduce writing.

Place materials on clipboards near clients.

Remove unnecessary steps that increase effort.

When effort drops, behavior rises.

Environmental Cueing & Competition Reduction

Add visual prompts in program areas (e.g., “Have you collected data for this block?”).

Limit excessive socializing by restructuring the environment (e.g., seating assignments, scheduled staff rotations).

Remove or limit access to distracting materials (phones during client time).

This addresses the “competition” part of the domain.

Observe and record when unprofessional behaviors and lack of performance efforts are occurring and by whom they are being seen in. Bring in a supervisor to confirm performance issues.

Provide specific feedback to staff members while also discussing with them potential barriers to the plan. Integrate performance consequences for failure to accurately employ use of data collection and unprofessional behaviors. Explain the impact of these performance errors on the students. Monitor the situation following more training/rehersal

Reminders posted about collecting data

-Modeling data collection
-Checklists for staff at the start and end of shift
-Supervisor check ins to see who is and is not recording data

staff response product for each session and required data collection

least restrictive - verbal feedback and reminders

most restrictive - check-in sheet for each day of data, and class teacher signature

Self monitoring checklist

Simply continue with checklist, periodic prompts built into day to encourage data collection, goal posted with group data, post individual leader, policy changes

Treatment fidelity

Obm approach to increasing motivation

Self-monitoring system and checklist for staff.

Assessing other staff, meeting for all staff to go over expectations, and scheduled follow-ups.

permanent product - completed or not completed data sheets

visual prompt
self monitoring check list
text prompt
verbal prompt

Daily data records

Review data records together to address/identify problems.

Staff data will be photographed and sent to the BCBA each day by that staff member before going home. A reminder will be texted to this staff member each day before leaving.

Interview with the staff member to see what they think their barriers are.
Review of the importance of data collection, task outcomes and their importance
Reduction of the effort by finding a preferred method of collecting data.
Performance feedback
Increased supervisor presence

who is collecting data, how often

increase motivation for data collection
reduce response effort of data collection
consequences and feedback to staff who are not collecting data, speak with their group home supervisor

Observe and record staff behavior regarding interactions with clients and data collection.

Self-monitoring checklist
Supervisor observation and checklist

collecting data on staff data collection of clients and use of data collection binders each day

Regularly highlight task outcomes
Performance feedback
Increased supervisor presence

Review expectations and have staff sign off on their understanding.

Embed data collection into the program day by allowing dedicated time for it's use during client's earned breaks, and BST for training on how to do it in NET.

Performance checklist, self monitoring

Text message reminders
Gift card for employee who completes the most data collection for the week
Simplifying data collection procedures

Datasheet becomes a checklist, percentage of steps completed

Make data collection sheets and protocols into checklists & in view/more easily accessible
Create contingency for 80% checklist completed, SR+

Tracking data entered

Reduce response effort
Add self-observation
Add feedback
Add peer observations
Add consequences

Review data collection expectations for job role

In vivo modeling and feedback

share or document the percentage of programs completed at the end of the session

Modeling, training, feedback, BST

Provide a goal for increased data collection

Vocal feedback
Written feedback

self-reporting

modeling
feedback
adjust staffing
