School Administrators trying get me to change my data based narratives to influence parents to think a certain way instead of presenting my data in a truthful manner. In all cases, I refused. However, this conflict of interest has caused me to leave certain school districts because of an inability to maintain my integrity to the process and outcomes due to administrative interference or pressure to soften results of FBAs. I have found that this happens after consulting in a district for a few years. It seems to be that administration eventually forget that an ABA is here to be an independent contractor. Not a staff member under their control of direction. Despite this, a good ABA must be able to walk that fine line between advocating for the child and being a team player wih administration and staff in a school setting.
Parents constantly refusing my suggestions and recommendations and therefore refusing to implement my behavior plan.
Others wanting to implement common interventions that may be in line with ABA sometimes but are not based on the individual's function of behavior
Asked to work as a student's 1-to-1 daily, effectively becoming an RBT
Other professionals have not agreed with ABA principles.

Receiving conflicting information from supervisors or others in leadership.
Proposed plan is too expensive to implement (can’t afford supervision, to hire skilled implementers, etc)
Politics with supervisors….have to keep supervisors happy
other professionals do not value or understand ABA.
