Applications of Trauma-Informed Care from Recent Research

Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) is an approach to treatment that may be readily integrated into ABA applications. The approach prioritizes client safety, long-term outcomes, and relationships. Following a brief description of TIC, the course takes a careful look at Rajaraman et al. (2022), the first TIC article published in the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis. Rajaraman et al. (2022) provides four commitments of a trauma-informed ABA practice. These commitments are explored further in the course with practical applications and research citations so that clinicians may readily integrate the commitments into practice. Demonstration vidoes and downloadable references and resources are also provided.
