Instructor: Juliya Krasnopolsky, Ph.D., BCBA
This course counts as 4 Ethics-type CEUs and is designed to take 3 hours and 20 minutes.
Learner is physically present in inclusion environment with little opportunities to engage.
Learner placed in less restrictive setting with no supports or transition for the teacher.
Learner is meeting the academic demands but is completely isolated from the other peers in social contexts.
Behavior analysts are familiar with the best intentions for inclusion that do not quite meet the need of the student. The history of inclusion shows how gaining access to less restrictive classrooms is only the first step. Truly accessing programs in a less restrictive environment requires some thoughtful consideration and supports. Participants can expect this course to provide solutions to some familiar issues most behavior analysts face in some related context, even when it is not classroom inclusion at school.
