With any extinction procedure there needs to be an increase of positive attention during the times that the behavior is not occurring. It does not seem that this was included in the original plan. Extinction needs to be removed at this point due to the unsafe situation and possible injury. I would have a highly reinforcing time for Tara when the behavior is not occurring and when/if the behavior occurs Tara will receive small attention that’s intent is to keep her safe from harm.
