Trial-Based Functional Analysis

This course counts as 4 BACB CEUs.

Is functional analysis an option for clinicians working in setting with little time, space, and staffing resources?

The answer is a resounding yes.  Trial-based functional analysis is a full functional analysis that looks at each condition individually.  It is conducted in the natural setting, among all the regular activities of the day.  What’s more, the rates of problem behavior are minimized during the assessment as only once occurrence of the behavior is needed to end the trial.  It is accessible, efficient, and most of all, a dignified alternative for individuals who engage in problem behavior.
