Tolerance Training without Extinction: Haircut for Adolescents with Autism

Tolerance training is applicable to many contexts where individuals need a service for their own health or safety but refuse to participate. Examples include appointments such as going to the dentist and self-care, such as getting nails clipped. Buckley et al. (2020) comprises the content for the course and outlines a modern version of tolerance training that excludes escape extinction. Downloadable resources are provided for implementation.
