Ensure that you understand the flow of day, and when stress is high for caregivers/ stakeholders. Only suggest high response effort takes at times when there are low stress levels.

Determine what has been trialled before and think critically about what went right/ wrong. Ex. teachers often have some sort of learning history with token economy or other strategies. Ensure that you know their experience before suggesting a repeat strategy.
