I will plan to use a break card versus verbally teaching break as well as providing that break depending on the client either a step back and away from the activity or providing them an item for sensory input they appear to seek when attempting to escape a task. I will also be doing an assessment to help determine the best time to teach break versus being proactive and helping my team identify those precursors/the duration of time client will work before displaying those behaviors to better teach break.
