This course explores recent research on teaching social skills to learners with ASD and other diagnoses, ranging in age from 5 to 17 years old.  Current standards for training and procedural methods are explored and summarized across articles.  The course includes the following:

  • access to six relevant JABA articles from as recent as 2018
  • active student response activities for retained interest and ease of learning
  • resources for application, including assessment measures and a take-away packet with a research methods index

    This course is based on several JABA articles. It would have been helpful if it also contained descriptions or reviews of commercially available social skills instruction packages (both text-based and video/online).
